A concordant relationship is when you use one type family throughout the whole page. This is in terms of style, size, and weight. This can look harmonized and formal but it could get boring for the reader as the reader keeps reading.
A conflicting relationship is when you combine similar typefaces. This can be distracting for the reader.
A contrasting relationship is when you combine different typefaces together. This can make the contrasts emphasized and also this can draw the reader’s attention easily.
Concord is a useful concept however a conflict should be avoided.
